Heightsafe Take on The Great Golf Challenge for Cancer Research UK

This August will see Heightsafe’s Craig Diable [Estimating Director] and Henry Greensmith [Contracts Manager], take on The Great Golf Challenge, completing 72 holes of golf in one day over two courses to raise money for Cancer Research UK.

Taking on the team name of The Bogey Bunch, Craig discusses his and Henry’s upcoming fundraising challenge:

“On the 15th of August Henry and I will be aiming to complete 72 holes of golf in 1 day in aid of Cancer Research UK’s Great Golf Challenge across Caldy Golf Club and Royal Liverpool Golf Club.

The charities revolutionary work into the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of cancer has helped to save millions of lives, and with survival rates doubling over the past 40 years, the progress such research has made is astronomical in helping the lives of those around us.

Both of our families have been closely affected by cancer, so we are eager to raise around £1,000.00 for the charity through The Great Golf Challenge this year.

We’ll be teeing off at 5.30am and have anticipated the 72 holes to take upwards of 15 hours (depending on how many fairways we hit) complete with 25 miles to walk.

Please dig deep everyone as this certainly won’t be a ‘walk in park’ for even us seasoned golfers. We would greatly appreciate your support in helping to beat cancer, together.”
