The Talbot Walk development is situated in the Harlesden area of London, just a short walk away from Wembley Stadium. The properties are made up of 2 and 3-bedroom split level flats spread over 82 blocks. The buildings are managed and maintained by East West Connect Ltd.
East West Connect Ltd are a longstanding client at Heightsafe as they manage and maintain a host of different sites across the UK. We have worked with East West Connect on a variety of different building types, such as hospitals, hotels, university campuses and major government buildings.
Heightsafe were contacted by East West Connect to design, supply, install and certify several Fixed Roof Access Ladders and mobile man anchor systems. Talbot Walk comprises many homes and residents, making roof access essential to carry out any planned preventative maintenance.
All 5 access ladders have been fabricated specifically for the requirements of each building and ladder location. One ladder in particular is situated 4 metres above ground level, with a bottom, mid and top platform. The bottom of which accommodates a hook-on ladder to deter any unauthorised individuals accessing the roof space.
Following the successful installation of the fixed access ladders, our team began to work on the installation of the Mobile Man Anchor system to set up the temporary safety lines to ensure maximum safety to those accessing the roof.
Following installation, both the Access Ladders and Mobile Man Anchors were tested to ensure the systems are safe and complies with current British Standards. East West Connect can now access the roof safely and have a complete fall protection solution on their roof space, ensuring operatives safety when carrying out any maintenance or cleaning duties.
