Height Safety Managers and Supervisors Training Overview
The Height Safety Managers and Supervisors Training course aims to provide an understanding of legislation and the responsibilities of the site supervisor. Individual accountability is explained to delegates such that they understand their responsibilities when they are the acting site supervisor. Importance of the hazards on site is detailed with training provided in how to manage such situations.
The course is designed to encourage individuals to apply the knowledge they have obtained regarding safety procedures, allowing effective on-site management of working at height.
There is a detailed syllabus provided for those attending the training ensuring the information provided is relevant and where possible the training addresses any specific issues that the company has presently.

This course is suitable for Managers and Site Supervisors as well as any people that hold responsibilities for individuals or activities undertaken whilst at height. Any person managing an office-based team where understanding of the syllabus is required will also benefit from this training.
Aims & Objectives
- Signage required
- How to complete Risk and Method statements – also work permits and risk assessments
- Understand legislation
- Address any primary risks while working at height
- Staff training and PPE Requirements
- Create procedures and models to allow supervisors to manage their teams efficiently
- Use of fall arrest and work positioning equipment and systems such as harnesses and lanyards
- Tool tethering and drop-incident prevention

Standards adhere to are: The Health and Safety at Work Act 1974; The Working at Height Regulations 2005; BS 8437 COP for the selection, use and maintenance of fall protection systems and equipment; BS 8454 COP for delivery of training for work at height.
