What is an Abseiling Anchor?
Abseiling Anchors – sometimes referred to as Twin Anchor Posts, Abseil Points, Abseil Posts, Abseil Eyebolts – are a roof access solution. The anchors can be installed and fixed to various surfaces to allow for the safe access of both internal and external spaces on a structure.
Heightsafe’s trained rope access operatives use Abseiling Anchors as part of a Façade Access System to perform cleaning and maintenance tasks regularly – even if space is limited on the roof structure.
Why not install Davit Arm Systems?
Davit Arm Systems are a lightweight, portable and cost-effective solution for suspended Rope Access. The Davit Arm Systems used by Heightsafe are compliant with the international government body for commercial abseiling – IRATA (Industrial Roped Access Trade Association) legislation, ensuring the safety of the operative using the system and the overall quality.
Davit Arm Systems are easy to manoeuvre and control and offer many benefits, however some buildings do not allow for the space required by the Davit Systems. Abseiling Anchors are often used as an alternative to Davit Arm Systems where the building location or roof structure may make the installation of the Davit System impractical. Abseil Anchors can be used as a Fall Restraint System, Fall Arrest System, Work Positioning System and Rope Access System.
