Mobile Man Anchor Compliance Testing

It is recommended to have Temporary Fall Protection systems tested for compliance every 12 months and be visually inspected prior to use on every occasion.

On roof areas where it is not feasible to install permanently fixed edge protection or safety lines, Mobile Man Anchors offer a safe alternative that are compact, cost-effective, portable, and quick to assemble – the perfect solution for roofs where access is not regularly required.

It is a legal requirement to ensure that all your Mobile Man Anchors are tested to meet British regulations. Failure to have annual compliance testing will result in an unsafe working area that will not meet standards, meaning working at height on your roof will expose you to unnecessary risks.

  • Testing Frequency and Standards

It is recommended to have your Mobile Man Anchors inspected for compliance every 12 months. However, it is suggested by industry bodies that you have your systems tested once every 6 months for peace of mind as this minimises any potential risks. As this system is transportable, it is also worth noting that your Mobile Man Anchors should also be visually inspected prior to use on every occasion.

    • BS EN 7883
  • What to Look For
    • Loose fittings and fixtures
    • Dents or alteration
    • Any signs of pulling on shock absorber
    • Corrosion and cracks
    • Missing or warn rubber boots

TIP: mobile man anchors are used in conjunction with PPE, it is imperative that this is also inspected for compliance and deemed appropriate for use by a competent person.
