Abseiling Anchors (Also known as Abseil Points, Abseil Posts, Abseil Eyebolts, ‘Twin Abseil Posts’) are a versatile solution to enable rope access. The system is designed to be fixable to various surface structures and materials, to create safe access to both internal and external spaces.
If a planned cleaning and maintenance strategy exists for the building, regular access will be required to the façade. However the structure of the roof and general location of the building may make the installation of a Davit arm system impractical. The abseil anchor enables trained rope access operatives to perform cleaning and maintenance tasks regularly even if space is limited on the roof structure.
Heightsafe’s abseil anchor system conforms to LOLER 1998, BS7883:2019, BS8610:2017 and BS EN 795:2012 (class A anchor point) standards. To ensure that your system continues to conform to legislation we offer abseil anchor testing as part of our extensive portfolio of compliance testing services. Each new install comes complete with a Full Technical File which includes, Design Drawings, Load Calculations, Layout Drawings, Manufacturers Specifications, and a Comprehensive Testing Schedule.
How can Heightsafe help? – Abseil Anchor Installation Process
After speaking to our specialist team, we will ensure that abseiling anchors are the most suitable Façade Access system for your needs. Once we have confirmed that abseiling anchors are the best option, we will arrange an initial site visit to establish the quantity and the position of each anchor.
During that site visit we can also assess any physical challenges the install team may face at the point of installation. Following the initial visit, we will confirm the order details and the installation date(s) to install the anchors. After the anchors have been installed, we will ensure your system is tested and conforms to BS EN 795, BS EN 795:2012, BS7883:2019, BS8610:2017 and LOLER 1998.
