The International Organisation for Standardisation, ISO, this year celebrates 75 years of integrating ISO standards into almost every aspect of how we live to make everyone’s lives easier, safer and better. ISO standards are recognised worldwide and cover everything from product safety to management processes.
The United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS) is the national body for the UK as appointed by government to assess organisations that provide certification, testing, inspection and calibration services – in our case for ISO requirements. Accredited by UKAS, Alcumus ISOQAR carried out Heightsafe’s audit to provide recognition of the benchmark we are working at for best practice management across the environment, quality, and health and safety.
ISO 45001: 2018 – Occupational Health and Safety Management System
Implementing the ISO 45001: 2018 standard for Occupational Health and Safety Management System has recognised Heightsafe’s capabilities to protect the health, safety and wellbeing of employees, visitors and anyone affected by our activities; and it is also an excellent way to establish legal compliance.
An Occupational Health and Safety Management System can help to manage workplace risk, improve employee safety and create better and safer working conditions. It is more important now than ever to ensure an adequate system is in place to establish a robust framework and reporting system to enable continual improvement.
ISO 9001: 2015 – Quality Management System

ISO 14001: 2015 – Environmental Management System
Heightsafe successfully uses ISO 14001: 2015 Environmental Management System standards to support our efforts to reduce waste and energy consumption and limit our environmental impact. With this, Heightsafe is able to quantify the achievement of our legal and ethical goals in addition to providing us with a competitive edge and contributing to the sustainability of the environment, whilst offering a competitive catalogue of industry standardised products and services.
Heightsafe are looking forward to maintaining the standards we have worked so hard to achieve and can expect to have our bi-annual surveillance audit in six months’ time.
