Fixed Parapet Handrails and Guardrails for Fixed Edge Protection

Last Updated: 25th January 2022

Fixed Guardrail and Handrails at Heightsafe

Due to the system permanently fixing to parapets, this form of Edge Protection delivers 24/7 protection for personnel Working at Height.

Heightsafe’s fixed guardrail and handrail delivers permanent protection 24/7 and prevents falls from height. Parapet Walls should be no less than 1100mm high and if any lower, can present a danger to anyone working on your roof. The HSE’s Working on Roofs (INDG 284) covers this specific area and requires the first line of defence to be a collective measure i.e. Guardrail.

The ideal edge protection system for a parapet wall, secures onto the coping stones on top of the wall (dependent on condition). The height of these guardrails is adjustable when using a 5mm allen key. We have the ability to fix on any roof type, and also add any of the following to suit your requirements, sliding access points, self-closing swing gates for ladders or walkways, access ladders, step-over platform walkways for pipework and raised ducting are all available.

If you’re looking at your edge protection options, contact a member of our expert team and we can discuss and design the perfect system to suit your needs. Simply call 020 3819 7199 or click to contact us and a member of the team will be in touch.
