The Client
Formed in 1973 on the Wirral, Abbey Logistics Group has now grown to be a leading bulk tanker logistics provider and one of the UK’s most respected transport brands.
The Brief
Abbey Logistics’ bag to bulk facility offers material handling services and requires warehouse personnel to work on top of tanks to assist with the loading of bulk bags into road tankers. Their Operations Manager contacted Heightsafe with a view to providing a system that ensures personnel are safe whilst working on top of these tankers.
The Solution
Heightsafe’s specialist installation team provided an Overhead Fall Protection system fixed to steelwork to facilitate the client’s requirements – offering a safe and compliant method for personnel Working at Height, whilst allowing them to complete tasks with zero restrictions.
The Outcome
Abbey Logistics’ now have a safe working method for personnel working on top of tanks, and their customers are offered quicker load times for tankers leading to improved planning predictability for wider supply chains.
