The Client
Alvan Blanch is a British manufacturer of agricultural machinery for clients around the world. They specialise in the design, production and supply of quality machines and systems for the processing of produce and waste materials – from individual machines to large-scale industrial projects.
The Brief
Heightsafe were tasked with creating an Overhead Track System at Alvan Blanch’s UK Office in Chelworth, Malmesbury to allow access for their operatives when completing work manufacturing their range of multi-purpose driers.
Their Project Manager contacted us to find a solution that would allow them to carry out work efficiently and most importantly guarantee safety for their workers. Due to the design of their structure, the Fall Arrest Track needed to be off-centre and attached directly to the steelworks, and so this was taken into consideration when our estimating and design team were creating their bespoke package.
The Solution
Our team were able to design, supply and install a bespoke Overhead Fall Arrest Track in their Drier Finishing Shop, complete with 3 lots of 16m overhead Track canvassing the length of their structure to allow for full flexibility for their operators.
The Outcome
Alvan Blanch were provided with a complete Overhead Track System to fulfil the needs of their business and allow the to continue to supply quality processing equipment to farmers around the world. The new systems are safe and easy to use by trained personnel and allow complete flexibility for those using them.
A key part of Heightsafe acquiring this contract was the speed in which we were able to undertake it. Alvan Blanch were clear in that instance in their initial enquiry, as they were keen to get works underway as soon as possible.
