Heightsafe are the UK’s leading providers of Work at Height Systems. We offer comprehensive Fall Protection solutions for those required to work at height, ensuring peace of mind for those responsible for providing suitable measures to protect workers.
What is Fall Protection?
Fall Protection refers to the measures that must be put in place to protect those working at height where the work cannot be avoided, in line with the Hierarchy of Controls.
Fall Protection Systems can refer to anything from Collective Edge Protection such and Safety Handrails and Guardrails, or Fall Arrest and Fall Restraint Systems such as Safety Line Systems or Mobile Man Anchors.
Heightsafe can cater to all requirements of Fall Protection, and factor the Hierarchy of Controls into all processes, from initial site survey, through to design and estimating, and Risk and Method Statements.
Fall Protection Systems from Heightsafe
Heightsafe design, supply, install and fabricate a wide range of Edge Protection, Fall Arrest and Fall Restraint Systems to suit our clients specific site requirements and budget. With designs that are flexible, we have systems that can accommodate even the most unusual of roof spaces, as well as other constraints that may mean a standard system isn’t feasible.
Our design team work to create bespoke solutions in line with the relevant British Standards which guarantee the safety of workers using them.
Edge Protection
Heightsafe can supply, install, test and hire out guardrail and handrail systems which provide collective measures of protection, and they are typically situated around the perimeter of a building’s edge to eliminate the fall risks posed by working at height. We have a variety of flexible options and systems that can be permanently fixed, collapsible, freestanding or for hire only.
Fall Restraint System
Fall Restraint Systems are designed to prevent a person working at height from reaching the potential hazards associated with the building’s edge. These systems are preferable to an arrest system, however sometimes building layouts prevent this from being possible. Restraint systems can be in the form of Safety Lines or Anchor Systems with a lanyard that will only allow the user to reach a certain point on the roof before they are ‘restrained’ from going any further, thus protection them from a potential fall.
Fall Arrest System
Fall Arrest Systems are like restraint systems in their design, and can be in the form of Safety Lines, Mobile Man Anchors, and Abseil Posts; however, a key difference is that they are made to catch the user in the event of a fall. Often, they are more suitable when a roof has an awkward design, or if façade access is required.
