Tri Construction recently completed works on Warehouse Units at Tyne Tunnel trading Estate, comprising of a large warehouse area, ground and first floor office space, a canteen and toilet facilities.
Heightsafe were contacted by Tri Construction to provide Roof Safety Systems for the newly completed warehouse space, to allow safe access to the roof for operatives that may require it for maintenance of solar panels amongst other general maintenance reasons.
Heightsafe worked with Tri Construction to propose the best solution that would meet the needs of the building and provide a safe solution for personnel that require access to the roof space.
Heightsafe were able to supply, install, test and certify Safety Line Systems to be fixed to the metal deck roof sheets; in addition to a UPVC Walkway Systems, which will provide workers with a safe, anti-slip access route around the solar panels on the roof.
When used in conjunction with the Fall Restraint Safety Line System, anyone who requires roof access will have a clear demarcation route around the roof area.
The Walkway System provided by Heightsafe is designed to work on all major roof systems including metal deck, standing seam and freestanding. The UPVC Walkways were fixed to the trapezoidal roof sheets alongside the Safety Lines, which will allow operatives to attach themselves to the lines and navigate around the solar panels safely and securely without the risk of falling from height.
